During the week of January 20, 2020, the Division of Finance staff printed and mailed 2019 W2 and 1099-MISC tax forms to all employees and vendors who had earnings from the State of Alaska in Tax Year 2019. Recipients should expect to receive their tax forms by January 31, 2020 depending on mail delivery speed.
For former employees of the State of Alaska who had earnings in Tax Year 2019, reprints can be requested from the Division of Personnel Employee Call Center at (907) 465-3009 or via email at employeecallcenter@alaska.gov.
Beginning on January 1, 2020, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (also vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be 57.5 cents per mile driven for business use, down one half of a cent from the rate for 2019. The Moving Expense Reimbursement Payroll Report Form [XLSX] has been updated per the IRS Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that suspended the exclusion for qualified moving expense reimbursements from an employee's income. The new version of the form with a revision date of 2/14/2019 should be used starting immediately. 02/14/2019.
Effective January 1, 2019, the Federal privately owned vehicle reimbursement rate for Automobiles has increased from $0.545 to $0.58 per mile. The following forms have been updated to reflect this rate change: 2ff7e9595c
